- Snom launches white D8xx phones for hygiene focused modern workplaces worldwide
- New models target hospitals offices schools needing clean coordinated device aesthetics now
- Devices include Wi-Fi Bluetooth security features and three-year warranty coverage for buyers
Snom has launched white versions of its D8xx desk phones and display accessory, adding new colour options for organisations seeking workplace communication devices that match office design or hygiene needs.
The update may matter to buyers in healthcare, education and corporate offices where reception areas, clinics and shared workspaces often prioritise easy-to-clean hardware and standardised interiors. Colour variants can also help organisations align devices with existing office layouts without changing technical systems.
The Berlin-based company said the new products include the D810W desk phone, the D815WB desk phone and a white version of the D8C expansion module, an add-on screen that connects to compatible phones. The company said the devices are available through specialist resellers and include a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Snom said the white models use antibacterial housings, meaning the outer casing is designed to reduce bacterial growth on frequently touched surfaces. It said the products are aimed at settings where infection control and regular cleaning are priorities.
The company named hospitals, doctors’ surgeries, care homes, spas, wellness centres and educational institutions among the target sectors. It also said businesses with fixed internal design standards may consider the new variants.

In specifications, Snom said the D810W includes Wi-Fi, a wireless networking system that lets devices connect to the internet without cables, a colour display and security features. It described the model as an entry-level option for teams that need internet-based desk calling systems.
The D815WB includes a five-inch colour display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB port, according to the company. Bluetooth is a short-range wireless standard used to connect accessories such as headsets. Snom said the phone also supports expansion modules for workplaces handling high call volumes.
The D8C expansion module adds an additional screen to compatible D8xx phones through USB, a standard cable connection used for data and power. Snom said the module offers extra on-screen functions and a larger interface for users who manage multiple contacts or lines.

All three products include HD audio, the company said. HD audio refers to higher-quality voice transmission designed to make calls sound clearer than standard phone audio.
Snom also said the devices support TLS and SRTP. TLS, or Transport Layer Security, is a technology used to encrypt data travelling across networks. SRTP, or Secure Real-time Transport Protocol, is used to encrypt voice calls sent over internet phone systems.
Mark Wiegleb, vice president of products, Snom, said the launch followed customer requests for devices suited to design-led and hygiene-sensitive workplaces. “With the new D8xx white models, we are responding to specific customer requests for devices that can seamlessly integrate into design-oriented and hygiene-sensitive environments,” Wiegleb said. “This way, we combine proven technology with design flexibility.”
Snom said it was founded in Berlin in 1997 and became part of the VTech Group in 2016. The company said it has installed more than 1.2 crore devices worldwide and sells products through distributors and specialist dealers.
