Key Points
- Infosys signs ten-year deal with Crocs to overhaul IT and business systems globally
- Agreement covers enterprise IT modernisation across Crocs operations in 85 countries
- Partnership focuses on automation and data unification to reduce operational costs
Infosys has signed a ten-year agreement with American footwear company Crocs to modernise its information technology and business systems across global operations, the Bengaluru-headquartered IT services firm announced on Thursday (6 August).
The deal, which covers Crocs operations spanning more than 85 countries, will see Infosys deploy automation and artificial intelligence tools to standardise processes, reduce costs and unify data across the organisation. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Crocs, best known for its foam clogs and casual footwear, operates two brands, Crocs and HEYDUDE, selling through wholesale partnerships and its own retail channels. The company is headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado and trades on the Nasdaq exchange.
IT overhaul
The transformation programme aims to address what Crocs described as rising costs, inconsistent processes and the need for faster response to market changes. Enterprise IT systems, the software and infrastructure that manage core business functions such as inventory, sales and supply chain, will be restructured to enable what the companies termed real-time decision-making.
Tom Britt, chief information officer, Crocs, said the company had sought a partner combining domain expertise with operational delivery capability. “By leveraging Infosys’ proven delivery frameworks and advanced automation capabilities, we will optimise operations, reduce costs and scale responsibly,” Britt said.
Automation capabilities refer to software that performs repetitive tasks without human intervention, reducing manual effort and potential errors in processes such as data entry, order processing and report generation.
The partnership will involve breaking down what the companies described as operational silos, meaning separate systems and databases that do not share information with each other, making it harder for different parts of the organisation to work with the same data.
Retail
The agreement comes as retail companies globally invest in technology to manage increasingly complex supply chains and respond to shifting consumer behaviour. The footwear sector has seen particular pressure on margins as raw material costs and logistics expenses have risen in recent years.

Karmesh Vaswani, executive vice president and global head of consumer, retail and logistics, Infosys, said the retail industry was at a point where new technology approaches could be implemented rapidly. “Crocs is making a bold commitment to digital transformation,” Vaswani said. “Our AI-first approach will drive purposeful performance improvements.”
The phrase AI-first, used by Infosys to describe its consulting approach, refers to prioritising artificial intelligence and machine learning tools when designing solutions, rather than adding them as an afterthought to existing systems.
For Infosys, the deal represents a significant long-term engagement in the consumer retail vertical. The company has been expanding its presence in retail technology services as traditional IT outsourcing contracts face pressure on pricing and duration. Multi-year transformation agreements of this kind provide revenue visibility and deeper client relationships compared to shorter project-based work.
Crocs reported net revenues of $4.041 billion for the 2025 fiscal year. The company has undergone significant growth since its founding in 2002, expanding from a single boat shoe design to a global casual footwear portfolio.
