Amazon India will launch its Great Summer Sale 2026 at midnight on 8 May, the company announced on Monday. The sale will feature AI-powered shopping tools alongside discounts across smartphones, appliances, fashion and daily essentials.
The e-commerce platform said it would deploy its Rufus AI assistant — a conversational tool that responds to natural language queries — to help customers find products. Shoppers can type prompts such as ‘suggest summer vacation outfits under ₹5,000’ or ‘show me energy efficient ACs’ to receive personalised recommendations, Amazon India said.

A second AI feature called Lens AI allows users to search for products by uploading photographs. The tool identifies items in images and displays similar products available on the platform.
Price tracking and purchase alerts
Rufus will also offer a price history tracker covering 30 to 90 days, Amazon India said. The feature sends alerts when a tracked item drops to a customer’s target price. Additional AI-driven tools include review summaries that highlight key product feedback and buying guides to assist purchase decisions.
The sale will include products from Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, Dell, Haier, Nike, Mokobara, COSRX, LEGO, Sleepwell and Pampers, among other brands. Amazon India said it would offer discounts of up to 70 per cent on what it described as AI-powered devices, up to 40 per cent off on mobile phones with exchange benefits of up to ₹66,000, and up to 65 per cent off on home appliances.
Payment and delivery options
Prime members will receive ₹250 cashback on purchases of ₹2,500 or more, along with an additional 3 per cent discount on more than two lakh items, according to the company. Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card holders can earn unlimited 5 per cent cashback on purchases during the sale.
The platform said it would offer no-cost EMI options on select credit and debit cards, instant bank discounts and exchange offers. Delivery will be available across all serviceable pin codes in India, Amazon India said.
Customers can also book flights, hotels and buses through Amazon Pay during the sale period. Domestic flight fares start at ₹2,799 for routes such as Jaipur to Delhi, while international fares begin at ₹10,999 for destinations including Bangkok. Hotel bookings come with discounts of up to 40 per cent, with stays starting at ₹3,599 at destinations including Jaipur, Ooty, Kochi and Bangkok.
