- Former Indian Army cavalry officer brings over two decades of enterprise tech experience
ServiceNow has appointed Kulmeet Bawa as Managing Director and Group Vice President for India and SAARC, the American enterprise software company announced on Thursday. Bawa, who most recently served as Global Chief Revenue Officer at SAP, will assume the role on 6 April 2026 and operate from New Delhi.
ServiceNow develops cloud-based software that helps large organisations automate workflows, manage IT services and streamline internal operations. The appointment comes as India’s enterprise software market continues to expand, with businesses increasingly adopting digital tools to manage complex operations across departments.
Bawa brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology and software-as-a-service businesses. At SAP, he led global revenue strategy and execution. Before that role, he served as President and Managing Director for SAP India, and earlier held the same position at Adobe for South Asia.
Former Army officer takes charge of ServiceNow India
Before entering the technology sector, Bawa served for over 12 years as a cavalry officer in the Indian Army. He will be responsible for business growth, customer relationships and operations across India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member nations.
Adrian Johnston, President for Asia-Pacific at ServiceNow, said the company views India as central to its global plans.
“India is more than a growth market for ServiceNow; it is a critical engine for our global ambitions,” Johnston said. “Kulmeet’s rare combination of global CRO experience, deep regional expertise, and the discipline forged through military service makes him uniquely positioned to drive that mission forward.”
Bawa said he intends to focus on expanding partnerships with enterprise customers across the region.
“ServiceNow is transforming the way the world works, and India sits right at the heart of that mission,” Bawa said. “I am energised by the opportunity to lead this exceptional team, deepen our partnerships with customers, and help enterprises across India and SAARC unlock the full power of the ServiceNow platform.”

ServiceNow, headquartered in California, competes with companies including Salesforce and Microsoft in the enterprise workflow automation market. The company has been expanding its presence in India, which serves both as a customer market and a hub for engineering talent.
Although the company’s public sector and government divisions saw a strong push during COVID-19, they have struggled to make meaningful inroads into India’s public sector and government market.
Bawa’s appointment takes effect on 6 April 2026. He will report to Johnston and oversee ServiceNow’s sales, partnerships and customer operations across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and other SAARC nations.
