India’s data centre capacity is projected to exceed 8GW by 2030, according to DCD Intelligence, a market research firm tracking the sector. This growth has created demand for tools that help consulting engineers improve accuracy and speed in project planning.

“As India’s digital infrastructure landscape grows in scale and complexity, consulting engineers play an important role in shaping how that infrastructure is designed and specified,” said Alok Rajput, general manager for and data centre development, Vertiv India.

Technical resources

The portal provides registered users with access to BIM content, which stands for Building Information Modelling, a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility that engineers use during the design phase. The platform also includes technical documentation and training programmes.

Consulting engineers can earn certifications and Continuing Education credits through flexible training programmes, lab sessions and educational events accessible through the platform. A dedicated support team is available for India-based users.

Vertiv, listed on the Stock Exchange, manufactures power, cooling and IT infrastructure equipment for data centres. The company operates globally and has been expanding its presence in India as the country’s data centre market grows.
