The combined position gave him oversight of global businesses built on data products while also leading the company’s enterprise data architecture, technology systems and artificial intelligence capabilities.

The appointment comes as enterprises face growing pressure to extract measurable value from AI investments. While AI models and interfaces have become widely accessible, organisations continue to struggle with underlying challenges: establishing trusted data sources, preserving business context when deploying AI tools, embedding intelligence into existing workflows and proving return on investment.

Qlik strategic priorities

Saha outlined three areas of focus for Qlik under his leadership. The company will work to extend its presence in high-value enterprise workflows where decisions carry significant business impact.

will also maintain support for customers operating across multiple cloud providers, data platforms and AI models rather than requiring them to consolidate onto a single vendor’s architecture.

“AI is creating a powerful jet stream across enterprise technology,” Saha said. “Models and interfaces are becoming abundant, but trusted context, workflow depth, and operating judgment are not. Qlik enters this next chapter from a position of strength, with trusted customer relationships, deep product expertise, and technology designed for complex enterprise environments.”

Qlik’s product portfolio spans data integration, which involves connecting and moving data between different systems; data quality tools that clean and standardise information; analytics platforms for visualisation and reporting; automation capabilities; and AI features.

The company said its architecture is designed to work across the varied technology environments its customers already operate rather than requiring them to adopt a single standardised stack.

The third priority centres on accelerating measurable outcomes. Saha said the company would deepen connections between Qlik adoption and improvements in decision quality, operating speed, cost reduction, risk management and customer experience.

Before his dual role at S&P Global, Saha led the company’s Energy division and Market Intelligence business through periods of transformation and growth.

His earlier positions included chief financial officer of the Market Intelligence and Platts divisions, chief operating officer of global technology, and leadership roles in corporate strategy and post-merger integration. Prior to S&P Global, he spent seven years at McKinsey & Company.

Qlik, which is headquartered in the United States with operations in Bengaluru, claims that 75 per cent of Fortune 500 companies use its products.

The company positions itself as offering an alternative to closed or single-provider AI environments, allowing customers to work with their existing cloud providers, data platforms and AI models.
